Alien Escapade º Episode 0727 - The Dates: Dobra, Beagle, Leno, Tetra, Vanna, Zola, ~ 06 {Vanna's Trullo ~ 2} ``Vanna: On our computers, I only know what I have learnt, and I forgot about the other end, as I was so busy getting this end working. That would not normally be a problem, as the general circuit will cope with it. However we have 2 circuits and they are not connected in any way. Therefore tell me, what you see? ``Beagle: Algol Network 4, and it is live? ``Vanna: Zaa. We have now got Old-Sat working, but we need the uplink truck, because it works on the older lower frequencies, but we cannot uplink from here, as it is too far away. So we will transfer the signal through our circuit to our own special dish at Satlink HQ, and then it should reach Old-Sat. ``Beagle: You mean you have you own dish? ``Vanna: A standard 5m dish for normal communications, and a 7m dish, fully controllable. ``Beagle: That must have cost a fortune! ``Vanna: It has, but it means we can point it towards Lacerta. In fact I will try it later, as it has only been working a few qefs. However, we can link up with Earth, as it is all set up and we have satellite access at both ends. ``Beagle: So what is the problem with Algol, when you can use this standard 5m dish? ``Vanna: None, it is a security issue, which I am not willing to elaborate on. We are also working on getting Cepheus online, although that could, be moth's away. However, Auntie is creating a direct Gateway link from their Group offices into Algol Satlink HQ. We have our own ISP network, so she will be able to come through direct, but that is the theory. It is all beginning to make sense, and on as yet knows the answers. ``Beagle: So why the high security? ``Vanna: That is privileged information. ``Beagle: I understand now, in principle. ``Vanna: The commissioned distribution Networks will be able to offer this as a service between worlds, but no one will know about us, and we do not have to pay for it. ``Beagle: High information load. ``Vanna: Tomorrow we can go to Airbase, and then hop over to the Bunker. ``Beagle. I see why we needed an extra qef. ``Beagle: Do you like Cabaret? ``Vanna: I love it. ``Beagle: The Actors Group is staging it, for 3 qefs, so we can go. ``Vanna: Book it now! ``Beagle: Sent, and it has been confirmed. Tickets will take 1 unit, and here they come. Bingo. We have two tickets, so are we going by Buggie tonight? ``Vanna: Zaa, and then we go straight to your Hotel room. ``Beagle. A double pleasure. ``Vanna: I do not want to be disturbed. {Leno's Place ~ 2} ``Tetra: Everyone else is gallivanting out tonight, so what are we going to do? ``Leno: 9 Pin Bowls? ``Tetra: Zaa. You can propel. ``Leno: So what is the latest on your hours? ``Tetra: I have 44-hours, but I have been told a number of times, that as I must take things easy. ``Leno: I agree with that. ``Tetra: You would. It also means I need some more help on revision for the Exam. ``Leno: I will know enough to pass it myself. ``Tetra: Why not? ``Leno: Because I am not P1. ``Tetra: You should take the radio exam. ``Leno: Zaa, I could. Oh heck! You are trapping me. ``Tetra: I have not imposed anything upon you, so I will have none of your Bear excuses. ``Leno: It would be an advantage now that Dad has upgraded, and we do have a Hopper Pad. ``Tetra: Well! Do it for your Dad, and not for me! ``Leno: Okay, you win. ``Tetra: We have an hour or so, let us work on it, and you can keep the books, and I will get another set tomorrow. ``Leno: I have only agreed to do the radio exam, so let us concentrate on that! ``Tetra: Certus, and the meteorology exam, is so important to you and your family, as you are all Farmers. ``Leno: Oh heck! You win, but this will not last. {Zola's Place ~ 2} ``Zola: Mum, everyone else has gone out tonight, so what do you want to do? ``Dobra: I do not mind. If we cannot beat them we might as well join them, but what do you fancy? ``Zola: We could go to the Cave Restaurant, as they do have a variety of things happening there, and young actors use it in trying out their skills. ``Dobra: New talent, that will do nicely.
