Episode 0548 - The Expectations: Auntie, Captain, Emissary, Tetra, Uncle, Vanna, Zola, ~ 07 ``Emissary: Zenden all and you are most welcome to visit us at any time. ``Vanna: Zenden, and we return the good-will greeting, and please visit us at anytime. Auntie is here representing Algol. ``Auntie: Zenden, and please do feel free to visit us at any time. ``Emissary: Zenden and again my greetings go out to your world of Algol. ``Zola: Zenden. I am Vanna’s assistant and independent advisor and I too come with a warm welcome. ``Emissary: Zenden Zola, and this is an historical occasion for all 3 worlds to come together. ``Vanna: We have come here with a three part peace plan, to improve relations between our worlds, and if you agree, to our proposals it will be a bonus of goodwill. ``Emissary: Please continue. ``Vanna: a} We have set up with Planet Q permission, for Algol and Cassiopeia to have direct communication through their satellite system. We would therefore like to add you to our list? ``Emissary: My advisor here approves. ``Vanna: b} Language and communication is difficult at the best of times, especially owing to your syllables and many homonyms with similar words. This includes your measurement scales, which we had further trouble with whilst on landing, and Dux came to our aid. Therefore the Cassiopeian language is to become the Intergalactic standard, as we have 28 characters in our alphabet, whereas the Algolians have 24 letters in their alphabet, and as you are aware you only have 22 letters in your alphabet, which restricts development. Further more, Planet Q is a multi-cultural Intergalactic standard of languages, and they find the Cassiopeian language is more flexible to understanding, especially in translations. Therefore we would like to promote your language, under our wing. ``Emissary: My advisor Initially approves. ``Vanna: C} We have agreed through Auntie, to use the Algolian scroll-card identification system for passport control standards, and we are at present installing it into the Cassiopeia Space Dock terminal. We have taken the liberty to bring the whole system here with us today, and with Auntie compliments and hopefully you will agree to adopt our standard, which will help us with cross security throughout the constellations. --- ``Emissary: My advisor is amazed, but he says it is what we need, and you have come at the right time. This is a very impressive and noble greeting for mutual enhancement of our friendship. In fact you have hit upon some of our weak spots. --- Therefore, I unequivocally agree. Moreover, How can I return the compliment? I can only suggest for now that we will sign a declaration Treaty, between our three worlds, so please do come with us, and there are some refreshments. --- It is a buffet style lunch, so please help yourselves. ``Tetra: A real taste of Cepheusian food. Very nice and just a little salty. {Cepheus Hotel Restaurant ~ 10} ``Captain: Dux took us all out to dinner, and we had a conducted tour around their factory. It is more like an experimental and development place than a production facility. They are rebuilding the crashed Cirrus 1 Saucer, and they are looking for a new buyer. At least they now have a bit of room to manoeuvre things around, as we have got their Vulcan. ``Tetra: Did you get their access information? ``Captain: Zaa. ``Vanna: We need to get back as the Algolians, are on their way. ``Captain: We leave in the morning and will get back late evening. ``Vanna: That is funny, because has Earth jumped into third place? Although we cannot neglect Leila or Earth. ``Zola: Too right. ``Captain: I do understand Zola, but we have made tremendous progress, and I want to see this new scroll-card identification system working. ``Vanna: Their expert will be on the flight in from Algol. ``Captain: I still have my two qefs off, but will come in for this, and Qualla will let me know more. ``Vanna: Another reason for going home, and this is a working holiday. ``Tetra: We must have a meeting to discuss planned changes to Hopper-Dock.
