Feny, Leila, Mother, Ted, Vanna = 5

{Safe House + Ted}
``Ted: I heard it on the news! A satellite encountered some sudden interference presumably from sun rays reflecting on its light cells owing to angles. One transponder had stopped working, and they had to switch over frequencies to a spare. There were two TV channels and 6 radio channels which were knocked out for about four hours and the satellite thrusters were used to bring it back into geostationary orbit. Other security systems were disrupted, which caused massive problems, but no actual facts have been released.

``Leila: We caused it! ``Ted: I thought as much, because it happened just after you took off! .``Leila: Our Saucer was in direct line with the sun, so we could not see the satellite passing over. ``Ted: A nice one to brighten up my day, but excuse the pun. ``Vanna: And thanks for your message. ``Leila: Are you staying for lunch? ``Ted: Why not? ``Vanna: All I seem to be doing is cooking, so it will be something easy. ``Ted: Well it will be something different to what I have. ``Vanna: While you are here, I have to ring the Embassy again. [Phones Embassy] ``Feny: Secretary! ``Vanna: Vanna is here, Feny. ``Feny: Okay, it is on and all booked. Ding will meet you at the airport as before, with your tickets. ``Vanna: The no fly zone will be active from midnight on Wednesday, China time. ``Feny: I will pass it on. Anything else? ``Vanna: We must all keep to our agreement. ``Feny: Yes!

``Ted: So you are off to China again? ``Vanna: Zola & Jinn are coming down direct in the Saucer, then we are all going straight home from there. ``Leila: You are not redundant, but we will not need your services. However we are buying lots of equipment for our next run. Therefore we will need Keith as well, although he could be coming up with us anyway. ``Ted: Did the piano survive? ``Vanna: Yes and it is in my Mum’s library. ``Ted: Do they like it? ``Vanna: Absolutely. My sister Tetra has gone mad on it, and she appears to be learning how to play, although Mum has to close all the doors. ``Ted: I like it. ``Leila: It is time to go and see my mum, so can you drop us off please Ted? ``Ted: Sure.

{Leila’s House}
``Mother: Blimey, you’re back quick! You’re amazing! ``Leila: Just over two weeks this time. ``Mother: Have you heard about the floods? They are dreadful. ``Leila: I heard a bit, but we have not been back long. ``Mother: They should have brought the Army in weeks ago. Anyway what can I get you two? ``Vanna & Leila: Teas please. --- ``Mother: Here you are girls, and some fruit cake. ``Leila: Thanks. Anything else been happening? ``Mother: The tele got blacked out for a few hours. ``Vanna: Oh! Strange, what caused that? ``Mother: Something to do with the sun, I believe, but it loses me. Anyway, how come you’re back so soon? ``Vanna: We have to go back to China tomorrow. ``Mother: I just can’t keep up with you two. ``Leila: The organization we work for has given us the job to liaise with China for more aid. ``Mother: I’ve never been to China. ``Vanna: It’s a big country. ``Leila: Did you book a holiday? ``Mother: Yea, I’m going by coach to Blackpool in a week’s time, so it’s a good job you’ve turned up. ``Leila: I will pop in and see you tomorrow, as I have to take Vanna home. ``Mother: Okay dear and thanks for paying for the holiday. ``Leila: You are welcome Mum. It may be a bit windy up there, but you should miss the floods.

{Vanna’s Bungalow}
``Vanna: It is nice to be in my own place. ``Leila: There is something about it, which gives you that independence and privacy. ``Vanna: The other thing is that I chose it. ``Leila: My Mum’s house can be a bit claustrophobic at times, so it was good that you came along. ``Vanna: So I am forgiven? ``Leila: I think so, although you have to take the rough with the smooth with anything that one does. ``Vanna: We are going to stay here for a few hours to catch up on things, so I will see you back at the safe house this evening.

Mother: Blimey.
