``Security: Nï häo --- [Show Passes] `Leila & ``Vanna: Nï häo. --- ``Security: Thank you, report to staff desk. ``Vanna: Appointment with Feny! ``Desk: Your passes please --- Thank you. Take a seat. --- ``Feny: Come on through please, we are in the boardroom. Will coffee be okay? ``Leila: Fine thanks.

``Liang: Hello again. Here is Ding whom you know; and Cheng who deals with all our publicity and news conferences. -|- ``Vanna: Before we get into details, apparently we have not found anything much in the Press; so can we please have an update? ``Cheng: We have played the situation down as requested, and owing to many riots going on around our world, the Press have dropped their attention of us. However, it was reported in the Afternoon Star here, stating that we have apprehended the culprit of an elaborate hoax. ``Vanna: Thank you. We are still surprised that you detected us, because you are new to space exploration. So how is your hiepi0 imbedded?

``Liang: The ancient Chinese regarded comets as gods or as supernatural beings and those which appeared in the sky became astrological omens. Consequently, they meticulously recorded their appearances. One such record survives as a text printed on silk, known as the Mawangdui Silk Almanac. This was discovered in an ancient tomb and only uncovered at Changsha, Hunan in south East China in the 1970s. Although this almanac dated from around 300 BC, it included copies of astronomical observations going back well over a another thousand years earlier, and one of the first it records is a massive comet that appeared in 1486 BC.

``Vanna: So what have US and Russia been saying behind closed doors? ``Cheng: I have been to the joint meetings of the Ambassadors and they have accepted our apology. ``Vanna: Thank you for that. We have been home to our planet and have come back again this morning, so we are suffering from space lag. The Oligarchy has agreed to create a crop circle with a name of your choice. ``Leila: However, as it is the wrong time of year, our Captain has agreed to paint it on a hillside. Therefore we will find somewhere to leave you a message. ``Liang: Excellent proposal. ``Cheng: Just make it the word ‘Changsha’. ``Vanna: Agreed. It will happen in the next couple of weeks, because we are staying here on Earth until the New Year is over. ``Ding: If we do happen to spot you again, although our robot has already landed on the moon, I can assure you we will keep it quiet, because we Chinese will treat your race as Gods. ``Vanna: We thank you for that, and we are also testing your devotion to duty as we have had no wars for about 1500 of your Earth years. ``Liang: That is impressive, especially as we cannot go a single day without an incident. However, do we need to talk about anything else? No? Good. I think we can conclude this meeting, and can you come back and see us on your next visit please? ``Leila: Sure. Good bye. ``Vanna: Good bye. ``Feny: I will see you out. I can assure you that you have impressed them. ``Vanna: Excellent, and I hope we can do more in time. Bye.

{Taxi Driving to Station ~ 4}
``Leila: There's a taxi --- Station please --- ``Taxicab: Sure. ``Leila: The only thing we now have to be careful of is UFO sightings. ``Vanna: Ted needs to come up with this private helipad which we can use, but it cannot have any buildings around it. ``Leila: That could be tricky. ``Taxicab: £9.50 please. ``Leila: Here’s a tenner and keep the change. Bye. --- ``Vanna: It is a long walk to Platform 1. [train] So tomorrow we can buy some decorations and Zola can have some fun putting them up. Shall I come and say hallo to your Mum, for an hour on Christmas day, then I will stay with Zola for the rest of the day? ``Leila: That will be nice. ``Vanna: [Ring]. ``Pam: Car! ``Vanna: It’s Vanna! Forty five minutes at station? ``Pam: Yes, bye. --- ``Pam: The Safe house? --- Vanna: Yes, and we may need you tomorrow. ``Pam: I will be on, but busy. ``Leila: No problems, we will wait, and here is the usual. ``Pam: Thanks again. --- ``Vanna: Bye.
